Jonathan Araiza is a 29yearold man who caused controversy on social media after revealing he takes care of a crocodile like it’s a pet.
The boy and his pet called gamora, live in Mexico. According to Jonathan, the female alligator roams freely around the house and even sleeps next to him. “She spends her time lying in the armchairs on my bed,” he comments.
The animal was named Gamora in honor of the character from the Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy. In the film, Gamora is a small, green, and aggressive woman, just like her “pet”.
“You are free to move around the house as you wish”
In an interview with the Clarín website, the young man said that the reptile knows how to climb the stairs at home, and also walks through the lake that he created for Gamora’s comfort.

“She is free to move around the house as she pleases and spends her time lying on the couches or in my bed and she can climb stairs and incredibly goes in and out of the lake whenever she wants” said Araiza.
The animal should not be raised like this as it is aggressive by nature. However, the boy says that “there are very few instances of crocodiles adapting to captivity as well as they do.”
Eat
A common question from people exposed to this story concerns the eating of the crocodile. In the case of Gamora, their diet is based around rabbit, mouse, beef, chicken, and crustaceans. In addition to the crocodile, Jonathan has two dogs and a turtle.
“Although it doesn’t seem like it, she’s an attentionseeking reptile to some degree, and the fact that my friend also has pet reptiles helped a lot, so the two hit it off quickly.”
