Austin Butler may not have won an Oscar, but he seems to be doing just fine.
The 31-year-old Elvis star was spotted on a romantic trip to Los Cabos, Mexico with his girlfriend Kaia Gerber earlier this week.
The escape comes after Butler ended a back-and-forth prize fight with The Whale star Brendan Fraser, in which both were acclaimed for their respective performances, with the latter winning the Best Actor Oscar.
The Anaheim, California-born star and Gerber, the 21-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, were seen relaxing in swimsuits on long loungers while on the tropical getaway after Butler attended events for months the film had attended in support of its performance.
Butler – who spoke with a Memphis accent two years after filming the Baz Luhrmann biopic – was spotted kissing Gerber in the scenic waterfront area.

The duo were later seen cruising around the resort in a golf cart to head to an al fresco meal.
Butler, who played Manson family henchman Tex Watson in 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, wore a white shirt with cream pants and black sneakers with a black ball cap on the outing.
The model smiled as she wore black sunglasses with a patterned long-sleeved dress at the luxury resort.
The celebrity couple have been linked since they were spotted attending a yoga class in Los Angeles in December 2021.
Since then, they’ve been spotted at high-profile events like the Met Gala and last May’s Cannes premiere of Elvis; and at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party earlier this month.
Gerber has been romantically linked to actor Jacob Elordi and comedian Pete Davidson in the past. Butler was in a long-term relationship with actress Vanessa Hudgens from 2011 to 2020. After that, he was linked to actresses Olivia DeJonge and Lily-Rose Depp.
