The deadline is coming soon. More than a year after the release of the impressive Horizon Forbidden West, Sony offers players the opportunity to continue the adventure alongside Aloy thanks to a DLC. The snowy mountains of the first game now give way to the fiery shores of old California. The studio is announcing the opening of pre-orders today, so here’s everything you need to know about the Burning Shores DLC.

Story
The Burning Shores DLC announced a few months ago didn’t reveal that much about its plot. Continuing her route into the Forbidden West, Aloy will reach the shores of Los Angeles in this extension. Since the extinction and rebirth of humans, the site has become very dangerous and is now subject to extraordinary volcanic activity. The lava cascades obviously add to the fiery side of the environment.
The studio does not specify which enemies we will have to fight, but we already know that “new machines, new characters and new adventures” will appear. Pre-order and bonuses
Probably on April 19th, the Burning Shores DLC and already available for pre-order only for PS5 players. A surprising choice knowing that the base game is also available on PS4. It is currently displayed for the price of €19.99 which is still relatively affordable for a content expansion. It is not part of a package that contains content other than the new part of the story itself. However, if you pre-order from PlayStation Store, you can collect bonuses that you can use in-game:
- Oil Slick Outfit (Available from the First Dyer)
- Black Tide Precision Bow (available from the first retailer on Burning Shore)
For the occasion, Sony reveals a little more about this content with a new trailer in which we can even see the Hollywood sign in capital letters. These pre-order bonuses are available up to and including April 18th. The DLC is not included in the deluxe versions of Horizon Forbidden West, so you must purchase it separately.
