At around 4.15am on Friday, shots were fired at a residential building on Anna Paquin Street, near the Suzanne Giroux Street junction in the Rivière-des-Prairies district.

No one was injured, but shortly after the attack, the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) had not reported any suspicious arrests.

Police were able to speak to residents of the residence and a security perimeter was set up to help investigators solve this case.

A few days ago, a van was set on fire in the driveway of a residential building on rue Anna-Paquin, also near the intersection with rue Suzanne-Giroux. The SPVM confirmed on Friday that it was not the same apartment as the one that had just been shot at, even if they are very close together.

And on March 11, at around 1:20 a.m., shots were fired at an apartment building on rue Anna-Paquin, this time near the intersection with rue Mariana-Jodoin.

These last two attacks were still unsolved as of Friday; they caused no injuries.
