Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook and Chief Executive Officer of Meta, and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan welcomed their third baby together. Mr. Zuckerberg took to Instagram to announce the birth of their third daughter, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg.
“Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg! You are such a little blessing,” he captioned the post. One of the pictures shows Mr. Zuckerberg smiling at his newborn. A second picture shows Ms Chan holding the little girl close and trying to make skin contact.
The post has garnered over three lakh likes since it was shared. Several people online congratulated the couple on the addition to their family.
The meta boss announced the news of his wife’s pregnancy in September last year. He wrote: “Lots of love. I’m happy to announce that Max and August are expecting a new little sister next year.” In the photo, Mr Zuckerberg placed his hand on Ms Chan’s stomach while the duo smiled at the camera.
The couple has been married since 2012 and already has two daughters, five-year-old August and seven-year-old Maxima “Max”.
Specifically, Ms. Chan and Mr. Zuckerberg met in college and fell in love. Ms. Chan, a pediatrician and philanthropist, continued her medical education at the University of California after graduating from Harvard University.
After the pair met at a Harvard University frat party, the couple began dating in 2003. On May 19, 2012, the two exchanged vows at Mr. Zuckerberg’s estate. They celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary last year by recreating a scene from their wedding.
To celebrate the new year, the Facebook co-founder took to social media to share a picture of him cradling his wife’s baby bump. “Happy New Year! Here’s to all the adventures and loves to come in 2023,” the caption reads.
In the photo, Mr. Zuckerberg wore a black suit while Ms. Chan wore a white dress. The couple smiled while posing for the photo. Also in another photo was Mr. Zuckerberg, who shared a candid moment with his daughter.
