For the War Research Institute Prigozhin’s exaggerated statements about the imminent threat to Russian forces are likely an attempt to obtain more supplies and reinforcements from the Russian Defense Ministry to save its forces in Bakhmut.
Prigozhin denied the claims of Kremlin that Russia is fighting them BORN in Ukraine and questions whether there really are Nazis in Ukraine, as the Kremlin constantly claims.
Prigozhin stated that Russia was fighting “exclusively against the Ukrainians” and some, as he called it, “Russophobic” mercenaries who voluntarily supported the Ukrainians Ukraine. But not NATO itself.
The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that elements of the Wagner Group remain the main Russian force operating in the sense of Bachmut and who haven’t lost their offensive skills yet.
