A tourist’s bungee jump rope snapped in Pattaya, Thailand. Fortunately, the man escaped with only a few bruises.
Huge fright. In Thailand, in Pattaya, a tourist from Hong Kong saw the rope used for his elastic jump give way in the middle of his fall. Fortunately, the 39-year-old escaped with only a few bruises.
In a CNN testimony, the victim says he came to Thailand to enjoy staying with friends and was tempted by bungee jumping at the Chan Thai Thappraya amusement park and safari. Things go wrong when the wire snaps 10 meters up in front of amazed witnesses.
“I closed my eyes”
Fortunately, the jump was organized over a body of water, where the tourist violently ended his fall. “It was very high so I closed my eyes. I was about to open it again when I bounced. I realized the rope had snapped when I opened my eyes again and was in the water,” he explained.
With the feet bound by the rope, the individual then manages to swim and keep their head above the water. Despite numerous bruises from shock, the victim was able to get out without incident. The 30-year-old was reimbursed for his medical care and the jump from the amusement park.
