Recognized by Denys Arcand’s film Les Invasions Barbares, in which he plays Sébastien, Rémy’s (Rémy Girard) dying son, in 2008 Stéphane had the chance to work alongside another great actor, Gérard Depardieu, in the second film adaptation of the famous comic to play strip Asterix at the Olympics.

Already 25 years in business

In 2005, Stéphane offered himself to our photographer’s game. The job no longer holds any secrets for him, who started out in cabaret at the age of 13 alongside comedian Roméo Pérusse. That year he embarked on the Rousseau One Man Show tour of France and Belgium, a show that was to be a huge hit.

Uh yes! He did. With his friend, French humorist Franck Dubosc, Stéphane and his pal appeared in Adam’s costume for a comic number during the Just for Laughs gala they hosted in 2003. It must be said that with such bodies there was nothing to be ashamed of.

From Rico to Eric

On stage, the comedian played a range of characters including his famous Rico Chico (pictured), Madame Jigger and Scott Towel. The actor has defended several roles on television and cinema, including the comic role of Bo Bellingsworth in Le cœur à ses raison. He now plays Eric, a much more serious role in STAT.

Thirty years ago !

Winter 1993. That year, 27-year-old Stéphane, who co-hosted Les 2 Pistons on CKMF with Mario Lirette, won the ADISQ Gala award for Best Comedy Show, in which Madame Jigger prevailed. He had made his name five years earlier by portraying a variety of cartoon characters at a Just for Laughs gala.
