Moscow: With the transfer MIG-29, Slovakia violated the treaty
Russia has accused Slovakia of violating a deal signed in 1997 to supply Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. As part of the agreement, Bratislava will not be able to transfer jets to another state without Russia’s consent, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation in Moscow said. The Russian authorities spoke of a “hostile act” and a violation of Slovakia’s international obligations under the treaty, which was also published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Slovakia decided yesterday to deliver four aircraft to Ukraine, nine more are to follow “in the next few weeks,” Bratislava’s Defense Ministry told dpa. Three of the 13 aircraft are not operational and are to be used for spare parts.

Kiev: go to the national production of drones
The government of Kiev has launched the implementation of a two-year experimental project on defense procurement of domestically-made unmanned systems.
