Jordan Poole has all the receipts.
Interviewed by Bonta Hill, Chris Mullin and Festus Ezeli on Warriors Postgame Live Poole explained how his performance The Warriors’ 120-112 win over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Chase Center on Friday shouldn’t surprise critics on NBA Twitter.
“It’s definitely Playoff JP but the crazy thing is you all know that,” Poole told Hill, Mullin and Ezeli. “You know that. So I don’t want to hear anything else – all that extra slander you’re all talking about.
“You all know what it is.”
In the first three quarters on Friday night, the 23-year-old scored 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting from field and 4-of-8 from 3-point land. As the fourth quarter began, it seemed like a different version of Poole had been unleashed.
He scored 19 points in the last 12 minutes, going 6 of 9 from the field and 2 of 3 from across the arc, finishing with 33 points in 32 minutes off the bench. Poole outscored all players not named Joel Embiid (46 points).
Poole was also active on the defensive end, knocking out many of the 76ers’ ballhandlers when it mattered most and putting Philadelphia’s guards out of their game.
