Ukraine declared that their troops are “stabilize” the situation around Bachmutin the east of the country and the epicenter of clashes with Russian forces.
Happened in Bakhmut which had about 70,000 inhabitants before the war the longest battle since the Russian invasion began in February 2022.
The situation at the front is “very difficult in the direction of Bakhmut,” said the head of the Ukrainian armed forces Valery Saluzhny in a telephone conversation with the chief of the General Staff of Defense of the United Kingdom, Admiral Tony Radakin on Friday.
“Thanks to the enormous efforts of the defense forces, we are able to stabilize the situation,” Saluzhny said on Facebook.

In recent months, Russian forces have been declaring incursions and conquests in the city that has become one Icon due to stubborn battles.
Russia’s attack on Bakhmut is “very stalled,” according to the latest UK MoD report on Saturday.
“This is mainly due to the extreme attrition of Russian forces,” the ministry’s statement said, adding that Ukraine also had “numerous casualties.”
Ukrainian commander Oleksandr Syrsky said Thursday he would soon launch a counteroffensive against “exhausted” Russian forces near Bakhmut.
Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenskyy visited the front lines near the destroyed city in the middle of the week.
The head of Russia’s Wagner paramilitary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, assured Monday that his troops control about 70 percent of the city.
