In a Hollywood-worthy scenario, Eliot Grondin won the snowboard cross world cup in Mont-Sainte-Anne this afternoon in front of his parents and friends.
Wearing car number one thanks to his win in qualifying, Grondin dominated the final from start to finish to sign his third career win and second podium of the season, to the delight of the partisan crowd in attendance.

Grondin was just ahead of Austria’s Jakob Dusek, who finished in Kraft. Spaniard Lucas Eguibar completed the podium.
In the women’s quarterfinals, Audrey McManiman was involved in a collision at the head of the course and finished 16th.
The crystal ball champions will be crowned at Sunday’s final World Cup stop of the season.
