The film De Volta à Lagoa Azul was released in 1991. The plot tells the story of two children who are alone on an island and have to survive in this inhospitable place. The actress Milla Jovovich played the character Lilli Hargrave.
She was only 15 at the time and has changed a lot, becoming the star of several other films such as the Resident Evil franchise based on Capcom’s survival horror games.
Milla was born in Kiev, Ukraine and is currently 47 years old. She married the director Paul WS Anderson and together they have three daughters named Ever Anderson, Osian Lark Elliot JovovichAnderson and Dashiel Edan Anderson.
She began working as a model at the age of 12 and took photos for the Italian magazine “Lei”. After starring in the TV movie The Night Train to Kathmandu in 1988, she appeared in her first feature film titled Two Moon Junction.
She became internationally known through the role of Lilli in “De Volta à Lagoa Azul”. In 2001 she was chosen to play Alice, the protagonist of Resident Evil, a series of films that also helped advance her career.
