The two walked hand-in-hand after exchanging emotional vows, during which they declared their love for one another.
Layton, 32, acknowledged the explosive nature of their relationship and attributed some of the turmoil to co-stars Harrison Boon and Bronte Schofield.
He then apologized for his share of the difficulties they faced and admitted he hadn’t always been there for Melinda, 32, when she needed him most.

Layton expressed concern that their differences might bring out the worst in each other, but ultimately chose to take the risk of being with Melinda.
“It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved, and I’m in love with you,” he said.
“At times our relationship has been stressful, overwhelming and difficult. And for my part, I want to apologize.
“I realized there were moments when you needed me and I wasn’t there to support you. There were moments when you didn’t feel safe and I couldn’t give you safety.

“Sometimes I allow my pride, ego, and my own insecurities to get better, so I’m sorry for taking all this time.”
