Trump cites Waco as a role model for his supporters

Trump showed a show of force yesterday when he held the first rally of his 2024 presidential campaign in Waco, Texas. A commemoration.

30 years ago, federal agents ended a 51-day siege of the compound occupied by the heavily armed far-right Branch Davidians religious sect and its leader, David Koresh. The attack caused the deaths of four federal agents and 82 Davidians, including 28 children.

In his speech, Trump described the upcoming election as a “final battle” and often made contradictory threats. As early as Friday, he warned on his website Truth Social that charges against him could bring “possible death and destruction” to the country.

He faces criminal charges – some imminent – in New York, Atlanta and Washington for buying a porn actress’ silence for attempting to overturn the 2020 election and for directing the January 6 riot instigated in the Capitol.

Trump screams that all of these accusations are “witch hunts,” “fake news,” or “hoaxes,” the three superfluous terms of his very limited vocabulary.

Posing as a victim of a conspiracy run by Democrats and “deep states,” the sleazy manipulator uses the situation to extort more money from the idiots who believe in him and his MAGA cult. The more violent his attacks, the more money flows into the coffers of his presidential campaign.

For Trump, the FBI is the Gestapo

He is currently strengthening his base by attacking Alvin Bragg, Manhattan’s first black prosecutor, calling him an animal and comparing the American justice system to the Gestapo. On his Truth Social platform on Thursday, he posted a photo of himself waving at Bragg with a baseball bat, which he has since taken down.

Police are investigating a letter containing white powder and a death threat to Bragg, which reads: “Alvin: I will kill you!!!!!!!!!!!!”

He said it in Waco that we must be prepared for a violent confrontation. That is why his ignorant and stupid followers love him. You don’t just want to be with him, you want to be like him. For them, he is the ideal American.

Trump urged his base of idiots to come to his defense, telling them in a video, “You’re not chasing me, they’re chasing you.” I stand in their way and I will always stand in their way.”

But will these armed idiots be willing to fight for him and how far? Demonstrations, riots, armed clashes?

What will happen next?

It is impossible to assess the legal and political implications of Trump’s upcoming indictments on multiple criminal charges.

Mary Trump, Trump’s niece and one of his vocal critics, wrote on Twitter that Waco’s election was a ploy to remind her own MAGA cult of the infamous siege: “He wants the same violent chaos to keep him out of justice.” “
