The interview
In February a year ago, in an interview with Corriere, Marescotti retraced his career, which he believes started by accident. «Not only started by accident, but also very late! After art school I enrolled in the faculty of architecture, then I was hired as a clerk at the urban planning department of the Municipality of Ravenna, I was in charge of the master plan, a job that I practiced until the age of 35 – he said – in 1981, A friend of mine offers me to replace him on a show and I still wonder why he thought of me since I had no stage experience. Without art, without part, without knowing the craft of acting, I decided to end this adventure and embrace the one at the beginning it promised to be a unique occasion in every way. I gave up certainty for absolute uncertainty, I didn’t know where I was going to end up and I couldn’t advise anyone to make such a radical decision.”
