The Russian government is again threatening western countries with a nuclear conflict
With the war in Ukraine, the Russian government has once again cast the shadow of a nuclear conflict over Western countries.
Vladimir Putin’s threats are echoing. Two days after the Russian president announced plans to bring nuclear weapons to Belarus, the secretary of the Kremlin Security Council issued a direct threat on Monday. Nikolai Patrushev stated that Russian weapons are capable of destroying any opponent, including the United States.
The President of Belarus, an ally of Putin, repeated the intimidation. Alexander Lukashenko published images of training with Russiansupplied TorM2K rocket launchers.
The Ukrainian government accused the neighbor of being a nuclear hostage to Moscow and convened a session of the United Nations Security Council.
On Sunday (26th) Vladimir Putin accused Western countries of instigating the conflict by supplying arms to Ukraine.
This Monday, the 18 Leopard 2 tanks promised by Germany arrived in the country. Another three left Portugal.
