375 kilograms of cocaine seized in Nicaragua

According to Senior Commissioner César Cuadra, deputy chief of the Public Relations Department of the National Police, the drug was seized in the parking lot of the Roberto Huembes market, where two citizens driving the same number of trucks were arrested.

The officer explained that when police checked both vehicles, they found 17 plastic buckets labeled Topex Asphalt Emulsion, which contained a solid substance inside which, when using the canine technique, indicates the presence of drugs.

He added that this substance underwent chemical analysis by forensic experts, who determined the presence of cocaine mixed with ferric chloride, charcoal and sulfuric acid derivatives.

Similarly, he pointed out that a body inspection of inmates charged with various crimes found plastic bags containing 40 grams of marijuana. Nicaragua has been developing the Retaining Wall State program for several years, a strategy implemented between the police and the army to counter drug trafficking and organized crime.
