The pope in a huge white puffy coat fools netizens

After the fabricated images showing the arrests of Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron as a garbage collector last week, netizens are being fooled by false images showing the Pope in a huge, pristine white, billowing coat.

These believable images were created by Midjourney, an artificial intelligence tool capable of creating realistic fake images, Forbes reported Sunday.

The images, shared en masse on Twitter, managed to snare several netizens, including American TV presenter Chrissy Teigen, who “didn’t think twice” when viewing the images.

“I thought the Pope’s puffy coat was real […] No chance of me surviving what technology holds for us in the future,” she tweeted.

However, the scam can be clarified by looking at the hands of the high priest: a weak point that artificial intelligence has not yet been able to fix.
