Three suspects involved in an attempted kidnapping with a firearm in the fall of 2021 have been arrested by police in Laval.
The facts date back to November 16, 2021, when the three people in a vehicle reportedly arrived at the grounds of a secondary school in the Sainte-Rose district.
An altercation reportedly broke out with two victims being beaten by the suspects who allegedly tried to force them into the vehicle.
The kidnapping attempt was cut short by the intervention of one person, who pointed a gun at the suspects before they fired a warning shot in the air and fled.
Police quickly traced one of the suspects to an apartment in the Sainte-Dorothée district, where a search led to the seizure of a large sum of money.
Another search conducted on December 9 of the same year led to the seizure of several items related to the attempted kidnapping.
Police investigations continued before resulting in two arrests on February 19 and 23 and a third last Thursday.
Moussa Mahammed Hussein, 21, and his two acolytes, who were minors at the time of the events, will appear at the courthouse.
They are charged with attempted kidnapping, assault, pointing a firearm and accessories after the fact, and possession of a firearm.
