Matt Damon and his 17-year-old wife Luciana Barroso looked glamorous at the premiere of his highly anticipated film Air in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 52-year-old Good Will Hunting star, who recently founded a production company called Artists Equity with best friend Ben Affleck, showed off his age-defying slim figure in a black suit that matched Luciana’s asymmetric wrap dress.

Luciana, 46, wore her long brunette tresses straight with a center part and accessorised with a large pair of silver earrings and light makeup.

The couple, who have been married since 2005, posed alongside their daughters Isabella, 16, Gia, 14, and Stella, 12.

Air, directed by Affleck, tells the story of sneaker brand Air Jordan’s rise to fame.

The star-studded new film features an all-star cast including Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker and EGOT winner Viola Davis.

The three Oscar winners Damon, Affleck and Davis beamed side by side as they posed together at the event.

The shoes – produced by American company Nike, Inc – were designed for former Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan during his time with the Chicago Bulls in 1984 and were released on April 1, 1985.

Damon plays a sports manager, Sonny Vaccaro, tasked with improving Nike’s sales at their basketball division.

Vaccaro looks through numerous tapes, looking for the perfect player to work with before finding one and showing it to his boss, the Jason Bateman character.

Nike founder Phil Knight, played by Affleck, approves signing individual players for sponsorship deals for the first time.

Damon then tells a Nike designer that he needs “the best basketball shoe ever.”

When asked who it’s for, he replies steelily, “Michael Jordan.”

The trailer for the film ends with a humorous scene in which Knight asks Vaccaro if he has a name for the shoe. Vaccaro tells him the name is Air Jordan and Knight grimaces.

‘Seriously?’ Vaccaro, upon seeing the face, asks, to which Knight replies, “Maybe I’ll grow on it.”

Ben recently told IndieWire about working with his longtime friend Damon, saying, “I love and trust Matt so much and it’s been so nice working together.

“It was kind of a feeling of, I want the other actors to feel [this too].

“Like, ‘Come on, it’s all good, I love actors, I love you, you’ll be fine everyone, take as much time as you want, do what you have to do, and be respected and kind of the project this energy.”

Ben and Matt rose to international prominence in 1997 when they co-wrote the award-winning Good Will Hunting.
