Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Shaakuntalam, has spoken openly about her health. The actress, who was diagnosed with myositis last year, opened up about the tough times and how her work has helped her fight in an interview. Speaking to Pinkvilla, the actress said: “Yes. It’s very slow and very tedious. But I think my work keeps me focused and grounded. The only thing I fought hard for was my job.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who took a break from acting to focus on her health, thanked the producers, directors, cast and crew of her projects for patiently awaiting her return. “I’m very grateful to all the producers and directors who understood what I was going through, who patiently waited for me to come back, who are now patient on set.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke frankly about the difficult times: “No two days are the same. Every day is different. There are highs, there are lows and there are really bad lows. Well, I thought I was already having a pretty rough time. So I thought I had learned everything life had to teach me and I thought I had grown enough. But these eight months have shown me a lot more about how grounded I am and who I am as a person and what mental toughness really is.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has returned to work and is currently busy promoting her film Shaakuntalam. She is also filming for her upcoming Citadel Indian web series, starring Varun Dhawan.
