HUGE Sky series ‘gets AXED after cliffhanger ends, leaving fans devastated’

A huge Sky series has reportedly been scrapped, which is sure to leave fans devastated.

Historical fantasy drama Britannia will not return to the small screen, according to Deadline, despite ending on a cliffhanger at the end of 2019’s third season.

The Walking Dead actor David Morrissey starred as General Aulus, a tyrannical army leader who led the Roman invasion of Britannia.

And the final episode ends with Cait (Eleanor Worthington Cox) stranded in Rome after being abandoned by her mentor, who is believed to have married General Aulus.

While the epic debuted on Sky Atlantic in 2018, it aired in the US on Amazon Prime Video before being streamed by Epix for subsequent series.

Web has reached out to Sky for comment.
