The brother of the late tight end Aaron Hernandez has been charged with disturbing the peace after he was arrested for misconduct at ESPN television station premises in Bristol, Connecticut last week.

Dennis John Hernandez was handcuffed last Thursday after local police said he showed up at the scene and threw a bag containing a brick and a written message on the company’s premises. After being turned away by building security officers, the defendant had taken an Uber to the crime scene, and his text was quite muddled.

“To all media, it is time you became aware of your impact on all family members. You’re a world leader, so you could point the way on how to deliver the messages brick by brick. Fix this!” the person wrote in his letter, which the TMZ site obtained a copy of.

ESPN has closed part of its offices for about half an hour. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing, but Hernandez will appear in court for a hearing on April 6. His brother Aaron was found guilty on April 15, 2015 of the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. The former New England Patriots killed himself two years after his conviction. His death followed his acquittal in a double homicide in 2012.
