Like Lafrenière, the Czech should become a restricted free agent this summer. It wasn’t a very difficult decision for Drury to keep the services of Chytil, author of 42 points, including 22 goals, in 66 games.

According to the Sportsnet network, the agreement would have an average annual value of $4.44 million. The 23-year-old earned $2.3 million this season.

With 135 points to his tally in 319 games, the 2017 draft pick of 2017 in the National Hockey League was slow to slip. He had two 23-point harvests before doubling production in 2022-23. In terms of scorer, he is only beaten by Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider and Artemi Panarin.

In addition to Lafrenière, defender K’Andre Miller will also reach the free hand with equalization in a few months.
