In France it is the violence of the ultra-left

Anyone interested in current events in France risks losing their bearings at any time.

The French government has decided to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

The population is massively opposed to it. The French minority government imposed its reform by gag order. The country is burning.

To the point of violent confrontations with the police. Occasionally we think we see civil war scenes.

But we will understand nothing of these clashes if we imagine that this violence comes from the depths of society.

France

Because it finds its origin somewhere else.

What has happened in France for a week?

In short, the ultra-left and its militias have gone into battle.

The ultra-left is not just a radical left. It is a radical left that believes in revolution as both a goal and a method, and advocates the unbridled use of political violence.

She has a strategy: to radicalize tensions in an already tense society by driving them to the extreme.

His plan: to confront the police directly using paramilitary techniques to injure as many as possible. She repeats that all cops are bastards. His slogans are picked up by fashion artists.

It therefore hopes to create a social chaos conducive to the deployment of a revolutionary dynamic.

But in the short term, she thrives on chaos and tries to terrorize those she calls her enemies.

This ultra-left calls itself Antifa. But to them, anything that smacks of conservatism or nationalism smacks of fascism.

In addition, it has steered the anti-racist struggle to its advantage and portrays every nationalist party as a racist party. Anything goes against those it calls racist, including hitting them.

It has also appropriated the trans issue and claims the right to intimidate all those who do not fully accept gender theory by engaging in a form of terror, particularly when critical conferences are held against them.

She has also taken up the issue of the environment and, in her name, legitimizes the sabotage against the agri-food corporations and against those of the energy world. She also advocates for SUV sabotage.

Antifa?

We then come back to the current French situation. Certainly France is in revolt. But until recently it was a revolt framed by the unions. As the crisis remains unresolved, tensions are growing. And it is precisely by attempting to radicalize these tensions that the ultra-left enters the dance.

We experienced, to a lesser extent, a somewhat similar situation at the time of the Maple Spring in 2012, when the local ultra-left, less developed than in Europe, also tried to spoil the situation.

I keep a simple lesson: intolerance, hate, violence, intimidation very often come from a particular left as well.
