Ozzy, who is suffering from the effects of a spinal cord injury, had indicated he was open to the idea of doing a few shows if he didn’t have to stray too far from his native California. He will thus share Saturday night’s October 7th headliner with AC/DC. Friday is all about Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden, while the festival closes with performances from Tool and Metallica. The artists all announced the monster event on their social networks.
The three-day event, which will be held at the same location as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival near Palm Desert, is a nod to the 2016 mega-concert Desert Trip that brought together Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who. Power Trip Festival was also developed by Goldenvoice, an American producer that organizes many festivals in California, including Coachella.
Tickets are available for those interested from April 6 at 1 p.m. on the powertrip.live website. Packages with accommodation are offered two days earlier.
