After almost seven years, Universitario will play the Copa Sudamericana again. The Creams will make their debut at the stadium in this edition of the international tournament against Gimnasia de Argentina next Wednesday, April 5th Juan Carmelo Zerillo. Although Jorge Fossati and his managers are excited and motivated to play this duel, that doesn’t seem to be the case for the Argentine club.
It turns out that at a recent press conference, the Gymnastics DT, Sebastián Romero, was consulted about his participation in the international competition. Far from answering this question, the manager explained that for now the “importance” is the Argentine league.
“We’ll wait to talk about the cup, I think Friday’s game is more important, but a nice challenge, nice group too. Going into the championship with great enthusiasm and zeal and doing things well. We are sure that will be the case,” he stated.
