A TikToker who chronicled a Canadian father fatally stabbed in front of his daughter and fiancée at a Starbucks is facing backlash after he allegedly took a selfie next to the victim’s body and smiled while filming the horrific scene .
Alex Bodger on Sunday filmed a sickening video of Paul Stanley Schmidt being attacked outside the Vancouver coffee shop after begging his alleged attacker not to vape in front of his 3-year-old daughter, the Toronto Sun reported.
Bodger – who walks past Gora Pakora on TikTok – appeared to be grinning as he filmed the unfolding incident, according to the news outlet.
“That motherf— just died, bro. He just died, brother, holy F—!” he exclaimed, drawing the wrath of those who berated him for capitalizing on a horrendous crime.

“This is the TikTok generation. I fear for our disgusting future,” wrote one Twitter user.
Another wrote, “I was so disgusted with his actions and words that I was honestly speechless… No emotion period.”
But Bodger told Global News that he was traumatized by the event.
“It’s not something you think you’d see on the streets of Vancouver on a Sunday,” Bodger told the outlet. “Every time I think about the situation, I get this feeling in my chest that’s pure fear.”
But according to a Twitter user, Bodger also took a selfie next to the victim’s body and even returned the next day to smoke at the scene.
The man later released a video in which he tried to explain his actions – and said he tends to smile in “awkward situations”.

“So I’m walking down the street, I thought I see a street fight… so I start running towards it. I start videotaping and I see some blood so I just thought maybe I had a bloody nose or something.” he says in the video.
“My brain wouldn’t allow me to believe what was happening. And I knew he was dead, but at the same time, this is the first time I’ve experienced something like this, my brain is like ‘he’s dead,’ so I start screaming,” says Bodger.
“The killer is standing right there, all I can think of is like ‘Holy F— I’m standing here screaming he’s dead … what if he comes at me and f— kills me.’ But I’m so shocked just standing there,” he continues.
Bodger then explains his “controversial” smile.
The brutal attack was captured in horrific video captured by the onlooker. The suspect, 32-year-old Indiandeep Singh Gosa (pictured), has been charged with murder.
“I felt so uncomfortable. I didn’t know what just happened. So I’m always in awkward situations,” he says. “I put a little smile on my face. I feel sorry for people that it’s sour.”
The TikToker then bizarrely continues: “Yeah, that s— (the stinging), it doesn’t scare me too much. I’m just saying human life is meaningless to me the way I see it if I don’t know you… he’s dead. What can we do now?”
The suspect, 32-year-old Indiandeep Singh Gosa, was arrested at the Starbucks and charged with second-degree murder.
Schmidt’s mother, Kathy Schmidt, said she was told the suspect had attacked her son after he asked him not to vape in front of 3-year-old Erica.
The 37-year-old father’s fiancee, Ashley Umali, was being given drinks at the time of the bloody attack but saw her partner’s dying breaths.
“This is so terribly wrong what happened. He was just trying to protect his daughter. I’m angry and I’m sad,” said Schmidt. “It all started with him vaping next to the baby. Ashley is shocked – she’s been watching the whole thing. She is so devastated.”
The family and police have urged people not to share the shocking footage of the brutal attack.
