Man sentenced to life in prison for killing yearold son, newborn daughter and friend

Englishman Jordan Monaghan is jailed forever after being convicted of murdering his two children and girlfriend.

The murders caused by Jordan Monaghan were discovered while he was under investigation for taking the life of his girlfriend Evie Adams, 23, in 2019. The police found that the criminal poisoned the young woman with a cocktail of drugs and even forged a suicide note in an attempt not to be charged. Monaghan’s tragic story was told in a Discovery+ series.

To solve the crimes, authorities had the help of Laura Grey, Jordan’s exwife and mother of the two children who also lost their lives. She says that in 2013, Monaghan choked Ruby, a baby girl just 3 months old, while she slept at her home in England.

The killer stated in the documentary that after suffocating the girl, he watched the movie Die Hard next to the girl’s already frozen body.

Eight months later, Monaghan killed her other son, Logan, who was almost two years old. Laura claims he took the boy to play at a local public pool while she was recovering from the flu.

When he came back with the child already dead on his lap, the man said the boy was asleep and put him in the stroller. When Laura went to check, she noticed her son wasn’t breathing and called an ambulance. While they waited, Monaghan performed CPR to avoid being suspected of death. Unfortunately, Logan arrived dead at the hospital.

Laura says her old relationship was completely abusive as her husband purposely made the kids sick so she wouldn’t leave the house. She further revealed that he abused his children on a daily basis.

In 2018, Monaghan was arrested as the prime suspect in the children’s deaths, but was soon released due to the complexity of the case. On this way out of prison he killed his girlfriend at the time.

Later, the police finally managed to prove all the allegations were true, and in 2021 Jordan was sentenced to life imprisonment.
