Stormy Daniels, the porn actress at the center of the case that has brought Donald Trump to justice, said in an interview with US magazine that she is “proud” that the former US President is being brought to justice and “hope” to be called to testify The British daily newspaper The Times published this Friday.
“It’s huge and it’s sensational and I’m proud,” said 44-year-old actress Stephanie Clifford, who received $130,000 just before the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about her past meeting with Donald Trump. That payment in particular, which was not reflected in his campaign accounts, earned him a criminal complaint, a historic first for a former president.
She fears for her life
“The other side of the coin is that it will continue to divide people and lead to struggle,” added the one who claims to have had a sexual relationship with Donald Trump before his 2016 election, which he denies. “Whatever the outcome, it will lead to violence,” said Stormy Daniels, recalling the threats she has received against Donald Trump since the indictment was announced.
The actress, who spoke to the British newspaper from an unspecified location in the US, claims she is scared “for the first time in (her) life”. “I’m not afraid of him or the government, but all it takes is one crazy supporter who thinks they have to do God’s work or protect democracy,” she adds.
But she says she “hopes” to testify against the 76-year-old former Republican president in court, even though she’s not yet formally subpoenaed, and she’s not scared.
A “false and shameful” accusation
“I’m not afraid, I have nothing to hide and I’m happy to tell everyone what I know,” she says. “I’ve seen him naked, he couldn’t be dressed more terrifyingly,” she cheekily adds.
Donald Trump, who plans to return to the White House in 2024, denounced a “false and shameful” allegation orchestrated by Democrats ahead of the presidential campaign.
His attorney said Friday that he would “fight” relentlessly to have the charges dropped.
