Tekken 8 adds Asuka, Xiaoyu, and Leroy Smith to the cast, with gameplay for Jun – Gamekult

Let’s go in chronological order of the trailers. If we already knew that Jun would return after his disappearance in Tekken 3, no gameplay has been presented yet. The mother of the protagonist Jin Kazama and thus Kazuya’s ex-wife tries to rid her family of the devil gene, this malicious strand of DNA that drives those who carry it to murderous madness. Needless to say, he is the key character in the history of tekke 8. In the game, Jun consolidates the newly acquired bases TT2. His techniques aim to punish the opponent’s mistakes and include three complementary stances: Genjitsu, Izumo and Miare. Big News: Kazama Matriarch Injures During Attack; Conversely, once universal heat mode is activated, it heals with every hit. A nice trick to turn the tide two centimeters before defeat.

On March 29, it was Ling Xiaoyu’s turn to come back in pictures. Always in search of Jin, the young woman still practices a fusion of Chinese martial arts characterized by atypical postures such as the crouching phoenix or the so-called “talk to my back, my head is sick” technique. Energetic, bubbly and nimble, Xiaoyu hasn’t changed much – and that’s good for her fans.

The little family

In the Kazama family tree, I’m asking about the niece Asuka. Still just as hot-headed as Tekken 5, vigilante of the street before the eternal, the young coed practices the Kazama style with a more aggressive twist than her aunt. After all, on the sidewalk you have to know how to assert yourself. Dressed in a brand new uniform, however, Asuka finds her classic costumes in the Customization tab, always conducive to aesthetic experimentation. If she normally takes a screenwriting role that’s reclusive compared to figureheads and focuses on her rivalry with Lili de Rochefort, her blood ties with the Kazama clan risk drawing her into a conflict she can’t imagine.

Finally, introduced in DLC in Tekken 7 and already a crowd pleaser, the blind master of Wing Chun Leroy Smith returns undermined like never before. Fast punches, lightning-fast punishments, and excellent parries characterize its gameplay. Accompanied by his mastiff Sugar, Leroy can also take out his cane to place between your eyes. Even more expressive and noble than before, the “Grandmaster of Drip” stands out as the new pillar of the franchise. Evidenced by his presence in the animated adaptation Tekken: Bloodline. And it’s not the esports stats that tell us the lie: at EVO Japan 2020, Leroy monopolized 7 spots in the top 8… (well, being totally unbalanced helps, too).

tekke 8 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Steam at an unspecified date. Given the pace of marketing, it’s easy to speculate that we won’t have to wait very long.
