Clashes erupted between supporters and opponents of transgender rights during a demonstration organized as part of the International Day of Transgender Visibility in Vancouver on Saturday.

Police say between 75 and 100 protesters and counter-protesters have gathered in Grandview Park. The heated exchanges between the two camps led to at least two attacks, which were captured on video posted online.
Two clips from this video, in which we see two different people jostling each other, have been posted online by police who are trying to find the perpetrators of the jostling, who could potentially be charged with assault.
In one of the clips, we see a person holding the Pride flag grabbing a man’s collar and then punching him in the face.
The man carried signs that specifically read that a “father” is “a male human who protects his children from gender ideology,” as we can see in the images.
The second section shows a man in a camouflage jacket grabbing another person and throwing him to the ground.
The police called demonstrators, victims and witnesses for questioning in order to understand what happened.
“Investigators believe there are witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, as well as video from a bystander who may offer a different perspective of what happened,” police said in a press release released Saturday.
