Major League Baseball suspended Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon for five games for assaulting a spectator.

This was announced by Michael Hill, the league’s vice president of baseball operations, in a statement released Monday.
The alleged actions against the 32-year-old athlete came after a 2-1 loss to the Athletics in Oakland last Thursday. Rendon grabbed a spectator by his vest at the Ring Central Coliseum. He also reportedly tried to hit the fan, but his shot missed the target.
According to the ESPN network, a video of the altercation was published on social networks.
Unless he contests the big leagues decision, the Angels player will begin his suspension on Monday while his teammates take on the Mariners in Seattle. He could return to action in Sunday’s clash against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Rendon is currently playing his fourth season with the California formation, he has a valid deal for three more campaigns.
With two games and six record appearances in 2023, he has yet to land his first hit of the season.
Brewer dominance

In front of the fans at American Family Field, pitcher Freddy Peralta infuriated the Big Apple squad hitters.
The starter gave up just two hits and three walks in six innings of work. Peralta (1-0) also overtook seven competitors in no time at all. To relief, Bryse Wilson continued to dominate the mound and play the other three sets. He took the opportunity to sign his first rescue of 2023.
Offensively, Brian Anderson and Brice Turang hit home runs. The second sent the ball wide when all paths were taken. That grand slam came in the fifth inning, the engagement in which the Brewers scored seven runs.
The loss was taken by Carlos Carrasco (0-1), who gave up five runs with four hits in four innings on the mound.
