Rays dream start to the season continues

Ray’s dream start to the season continues

The Tampa Bay Rays celebrated another win on Wednesday.

The Florida team easily defeated the Washington Nationals 7-2 to secure their sixth win in as many games this season. The Rays are the only major league team with a clean record going into 2023.

In today’s matchup, starter Shane McClanahan (2-0) secured both points for the Nats with five strikes and also gave up four free passes. The shooter also passed six gauntlet rivals in his six innings on the mound. Combined, the three assists used by manager Kevin Cash after McClanahan left allowed just a small hit.

The Rays started offensively in their third round of batting. Wander Franco kicked the ball wide, teammate Yandy Diaz was already on the trails. That two-barrel homer gave the Tampa Bay Club the lead for good.

Harold Ramirez also took advantage of the generosity of Nationals starter Patrick Corbin (0-2) to stretch out his arms. The Washington team’s left-hander ended his day on the mound after six innings. He gave up six runs in 10 hits.
