‘You might get a chance, but you have to work bloody hard for it’: Peter Andre hits back at Nepo Baby’s accusations about Junior’s music career
Peter Andre on Thursday hit back at allegations calling his son Junior a “Nepo baby” because of his music career.
The Mysterious Girl singer spoke to Charlene White, Denise Welch, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore about Loose Women.
Rising star Junior, 17, is the son of Peter and Katie Price and has signed with Harry Styles label Columbia Records in 2021.
But despite Peter guiding his son and introducing him to the record label team, he has argued that his success is the result of his hard work.
Peter said: “What I tried to do with Junior and all the kids is you might get a chance but you have to work damn hard for it and he does.

“He’s in the studio writing songs all the time. I told him, “Don’t just expect songs to come to you. Write them, be a writer, because then you’ll never go hungry.”
“He’s a great kid. He’s really fine. He gets gig after gig.’
Nepotism babies — or “Nepo babies,” as they’re often called — have taken 2023 by storm, and they refer to celebrity offspring who easily land in the world of showbiz, like Brooklyn Beckham.
Junior will be performing with HRVY at 02 Shepherd’s Bush in April.
In 2021, at just 16, Junior signed a huge record deal with Harry Styles’ label Columbia Records.
At the time, he said, “Wow… where do I start. These last 6 months have been hectic. But I loved every single second of it.
“My dad took me to the studio 6 months ago and put me in the dressing room at @rebelrecs. Since then I’ve been secretly working on a MASSIVE project and not long ago received a call saying @columbiauk wants to sign me!
He continued: I just want to thank the @rebelress team along with my dad for helping me grow into an artist.

In June last year he celebrated number one in the UK iTunes charts with his debut single Slide.
The 17-year-old took to Instagram to share snaps of himself celebrating with fans and rapper Big Narstie as he marked his successful foray into the music industry.
In his caption, the up-and-coming celeb wrote, “The love you showed today was insane and you managed to take Slide to #1 on the iTunes chart!!”
The rising hitmaker sold off stars like Lady Gaga, Eminem and Harry Styles to get to the top.
Junior is following in his father’s footsteps as he embarks on a career in the music industry and Peter recently announced that he is managing his son.
In April last year he appeared virtually on Wednesday in Lorraine and told host Christine Lampard that he was “proud but also scared” for his would-be musician son.
