The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 52-year-old man who allegedly faked his own kidnapping in Sabadell, Barcelona, ​​Catalan police said in a statement on Thursday. The incidents happened on March 20, when the detainee’s mother received messages on her cellphone alerting her that her son had been kidnapped and demanding that she pay 2,500 euros or they would “cause injuries.” “. The mother went to the Sant Cugat del Vallès police station (Barcelona) to make a complaint and the Central Unit for Kidnapping and Extortion of the Criminal Investigation Department (DIC) took over the investigation.
