Andy Murray put on a happy show on Friday as he lifted his three-year-old son Teddy over his head while enjoying a family holiday in Marbella.

The 35-year-old tennis player shared a series of Instagram snaps of the lavish journey as he trained for the Monte Carlo Masters tournament, which begins April 8.

The three-time Grand Slam winner was enjoying some downtime with his wife Kim as the pair beamed for a sweet selfie together.

Kim looked effortlessly chic in large dark sunglasses and a striped white tee for the snap.

Taking some time out to soak up the sun on the beach, the Scot shared a sweet snap of his three-year-old son playing with toy cars.

Murray and Kim, who have been together since 2005, have been married for almost six years since their wedding in Dunblane in April 2015.

The couple share Sophia, seven, Edie, five, and Teddy.

He wrote: “Just finished a great week of training/holidays with my team and family at @puenteromanoresort in Marbella. What a great place, thank you for looking after us.

“Now heading to @rolexmontecarlomasters for the first time since 2017! Wish me luck’.

Murray has made it into the main draw of the Monte Carlo Masters for the first time in six years after three players were eliminated.

Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz and Felix Auger-Aliassime withdrew from the tournament on Tuesday due to injuries.

It comes after Andy made a significant change to what is left of his career by leaving his own management agency and joining the company that Emma Raducanu represents.

The Scot has closed the tennis side of his own management business and signed a deal with the ubiquitous IMG, who own three events on the ATP Tour and have a large client base in the sport.

Murray started his own agency 10 years ago and named it 77 in reference to the number of years that had elapsed between Fred Perry and him when he won Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, the former world No. 1 has been voted Sportswoman of the Year three times.

Despite this, he has never shown much inclination to maximize his off-court earning potential and has generally been less active on the commercial front than other top players, preferring to limit his number of promotion commitments.

IMG, as Raducanu has shown, is known for being enthusiastic about earning opportunities, so it will be interesting to see if he can be persuaded to do so in these twilight years of his career.

Matt Gentry, his longtime manager, will continue to work with him.

Murray put on his worst performance yet in an overall encouraging season when he lost in the first round of the Miami Open last week.
