African pride
Aevin Dugas of Louisiana reclaimed her Guinness World Record with her afro-style hairstyle measuring 9.84 inches tall, 10.4 inches wide and 5.41 feet in circumference in 2023. In 2010, her hair measured four feet four inches, a record broken by New Yorker Simone Williams in 2020. However, Aevin regained the reign thanks to the fact that he let his admired hair grow out for 24 years.
seven miles and handcuffed
Egyptian Shehab Allam also broke the Guinness record when he demonstrated his skills. In his case, he swam 7.24 miles in the open waters of the Arabian Gulf. The notable part: He did it with his hands in handcuffs, taking about six hours to break the record held by American Benjamin Katzman, who ran 5.35 miles in 2021. He has said that he intends to break his own record and that he feels “superhero”.
In the urban jungle
Joe Bagley, a self-confessed 20-year-old ‘jungle boy’, has transformed his Loughborough home into an indoor jungle with over 1,400 potted plants. Everything from cacti and succulents to tropical flowers and vines grows to such an extent that the house looks like a jungle and there is practically no room for anything else.
