A very first generation iPhone is currently on sale for a tidy sum of $32,000 at an auction. At the current exchange rate, this corresponds to almost 30,000 euros. But if the seller chose such a high price, you can imagine that there is a good reason. In fact, the packaging of the device presents a notable difference from other models of the same period.
We recognize a red sticker with the Apple logo, which seemed relatively unknown to us until then. It says “Lucky you.‘ (‘Luck’) in white, with the manufacturer’s signature apple in the same colour. This would be an addition for the holiday season, according to our colleagues at Apple Insider magazine who have looked into the matter.

According to the seller, this outstanding iPhone may finally find a buyer $60,000 when the auction ends. The pickiest will also notice that a plastic wrap covers the entire box, a sign it’s never been opened.
Recently, another brand new iPhone made headlines in this way.
Technical worksheet
This iPhone, which has every chance of being functional, offers a touchscreen of 3.5 inches for a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels with a density of only 163 ppi. For comparison, a classic iPhone 14 today is shown with a large 6.1-inch panel, compared to 6.7-inches on an iPhone 14 Plus or an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Of course, the processor is not the same either: while the first iPhone from 2007 shipped with an ARM chip from Samsung, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 are equipped with a proprietary CPU. These are the A15 Bionic Chip for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus and the A16 Bionic Chip for the high-end models. As for the amount of RAM, this now reaches 6 GB, regardless of the model available today on the Apple Store (with the exception of the iPhone SE), on the other hand 128MB for the first generation.
