Kate Middleton wears a color often worn by Queen Elizabeth at Easter;

Whether it’s a holiday, a special celebration or just another day, Kate Middleton, 41, always rocks her looks. And at this year’s Easter Sunday service, the Princess of Wales did not disappoint, wearing a royal blue ensemble that appears to have been a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

As noted by People magazine, the princess wore a blue Catherine Walker & Co. coat, which she had previously worn to the Commonwealth Day Service in March 2022. She accessorised with a matching handbag and a blue version of a Lock & Co hat. which they did on St. Patrick’s last year.

Princess Kate matched her entire family, who also dressed in blue. Prince William, 40, and Prince George, 9, wore matching navy suits, while Princess Charlotte, 7, wore a blue and white floral dress with baby blue tights and navy flats. The youngest, Prince Louis, 4, wore a navy blue blazer with light blue shorts and high socks.

This was the first time the couple had brought their three children to Sunday service after Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended the event with their parents in 2022.

As this was the first Easter Sunday celebrated by the royal family since Queen Elizabeth’s death, the choice of blue seemed to pay homage to the late monarch. It was a coordinated effort by the entire family, with King Charles and Queen Camilla also striking the same note.

Royal fashion watchers will recall that Queen Elizabeth often wore blue for the Easter holidays, and she was particularly fond of wearing the color to the Royal Maundy Service, which is always the Thursday before Easter.
