Brussels, 12 April (RHC) After testing positive for Covid-19, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, today canceled a trip to China, the social network Twitter reported.
I am fine and have no symptoms of illness, Borrell wrote on his profile, announcing the postponement of his arrival with the Asian giant scheduled for tomorrow. The visit of the EU representative to Beijing follows that of French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
During his stay in the country, talks were planned with China’s National Security Minister Li Shangfu and Foreign Minister Qin Gang, as well as civil society organizations. (Source: Latin Press)
