The traffic accident happened on the night of Friday, April 14th Lambayeque. It’s about a couple of young football players identified as Cesar Enrique Vasquez Zapata and Oshmar Nodrino Vilchez Rengifo (18)who died while riding a motorcycle taxi.
The accident was reported at 7:20 p.m. when the vehicle, in which both athletes were traveling with a third person, was hit by a truck on the Panamericana Norte highway. in the section that connects the cities of Chiclayo and Lambayeque, at the level of the Sol de Oro mill.

According to the police, Vásquez Zapata died at the scene of the crime, and Vilchez Rengifo died in a hospital after fighting for his life for hours. According to the driver of the truck, the trike pulled into the oncoming lane to enter the drain, leaving him unable to avoid the collision.
The driver of the truck with license plate number T9T-881, identified as Saul Gamarra Torres (40), he remained detained at Lambayeque police station as part of the police investigation. Meanwhile, the woman who was a passenger in the motorcycle taxi and was injured is currently being treated at Belén Hospital in that city.
The bodies were taken to the morgue Chiclayo for the forensic autopsy. The state police have launched an investigation to clarify the incident.
