Design, XXL photo island… The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is unveiled ahead of its official presentation

The official presentation of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will officially take place tomorrow, but we already know what Xiaomi’s ultimate photophone will look like. The Chinese manufacturer has indeed published images of the device on the social network Weibo.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

The latter corresponds well to the previous renderings shared on the web. There is an impressive circular photo island surrounded by gold-colored strapping that is reminiscent of a real dome. It looks a little rounder than the 12S Ultra and should add 15.6mm of thickness right at this point. Suffice it to say that it is not easily forgotten in a bag.

We are also entitled to a hinge made entirely of aluminum and a rear coating of white imitation leather with the most beautiful effect. The brand stated that it benefited from an antibacterial treatment and was dustproof. It also ensures that the material does not yellow over time. A green version is also planned.

With its (very) large photo island, this 13 Ultra does not go unnoticed.

The photo promise is ambitious. In fact, the island should have the main one-inch (50Mpx) Sony IMX989 sensor already seen on the 13 Pro, coupled with three other 50Mpx IMX858 sensors for the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses (3x and 5x). The model will also benefit from the partnership with Leica, which should lead to a selection of special lenses and a software part with small onions. For the occasion, an accessory should be presented that allows it to be used as a landscape suitcase.

The brand has also shared some on-screen information (named C7), which it seems it has chosen with care. Here we are treated to a 120Hz Oled panel displayed in 2K (1440 x 3200px) compatible with LTPO technology. Developed jointly by Xiaomi and China Star, it could display a peak light of up to 2600 nits for HDR content. Enough to enjoy it even in full sun.

The Oled C7 panel is particularly bright.

Among the latter we should logically find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, coupled with a lot of RAM (probably 12 to 16 GB of RAM) and multiple storage options.

You just have to wait until tomorrow to discover the last secrets of the technical sheet but also to know the official launch date as well as the price of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in China. This should give us a relative indication of the price in France, where the release is also planned.
