An operation in the United States uncovered the existence of a secret police station in New York. Two people were arrested.
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, the police station was in Chinatown, a neighborhood with a strong Asian immigrant presence, with themed restaurants and shops and did not have an operating permit.
In a statement, the Attorney General’s Office said that the Men conducted police operations without prior diplomatic approval for this.
Two men were arrested at the scene accused of conspiring on behalf of the Chinese government. O The FBI also denounced 34 Chinese National Police officers who are, according to the investigation, involved in the case of “crossborder repression”.
According to The New York Times, FBI agents even searched the Chinese police station at the end of last year.

Alleged Chinese spy balloon flies over US
The discovery of the secret police station comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and China in recent years.
The balloon, which was the size of three buses, was shot down by the US military days later, and the Pentagon said it found surveillance systems inside. The suspicion is that they were trying to gather information from US military bases.
