Navy blue can be a lot more flattering than black for a chic daytime look, and queen Letizia from Spain showed us how it’s done today when she came out in Malaga.

The 49-year-old mother-of-two looked elegant in a mid-length navy blue dress with a white embroidered flower on the chest and a thin black sash that drew attention to her slender waist.

She was joined by her husband, King Felipe, at the opening of the Tour of Talents and the proclamation of the Prize of the Princess of Girona Foundation for Arts and Letters in la Thermic Cultural Center and Edgar Neville Auditorium in Malaga.

For today’s release, she accessorized her midi dress with a small white clutch and sophisticated navy blue stilettos, opting for simple gold earrings.

The monarch opted for an understated make-up with peach tones and shimmery bronze eyeshadow.

Meanwhile, her husband, King Felipe VI, 54, wore a tailored light gray suit contrasted with a hot pink tie and burgundy tassel loafers.

The annual talent tour kicked off on March 3rd in Malaga to promote the movement for the future of young people in Spain and create a community of opportunities that connect, activate and strengthen their talents.

The Spanish royals were received in the Edgar Neville Hall by the President of the Government of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla; Diputación de Málaga President Francisco Salado; and Malaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre, among others.

Their Majesties attended various seminars and events at La Térmica and attended the opening ceremony, which took place in the Edgar Neville Auditorium.

It has only been two weeks since the Spanish king returned to action after testing positive for Covid-19 early last month.

Putting safety first, the couple decided not to remove their masks in accordance with local regulations.

The Prize of the Princess of Girona Foundation for Arts and Letters is designed to recognize talented young people doing promising work in any field of art and literature and serving as an example and inspiration to other young people.

Other awards include the Social Prize, the Research Prize, the Business Prize and the International Prize, all of which are open to young people in Spain between the ages of 16 and 35.

The Tour of Talent runs until March 10 and includes a range of physical and interactive workshops, from lectures and shows to networking and debates.
