Met Gala 2022: Addison Rae sizzles in a silver mosaic dress with a sexy halter neckline

Addison Rae sent the temperatures skyrocketing on her arrival for this year’s Met Gala in New York City on Monday night.

The 21-year-old TikTok star slipped into a fitted Michael Kors halterneck dress with a stunning mirror mosaic design that faded from reflective silver to lustrous black.

Addison revealed her dress is made up of 11,000 mirrors in seven different shades, which JustJared says were individually embroidered to create the ombre effect.

She also sported several chunky statement rings that competed with her jeweled manicure. Some of the rocks ran past Addison’s fingernails and onto her skin.

As for makeup, Addison was adorned with spiky false lashes and her lids were dusted with shimmery purple eyeshadow.

A nod to 1960s beauty trends, individual false lashes were glued along the He’s All That star’s lower lash line.

Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour is again overseeing the fundraiser as Chair, a position she has held since 1995. Her honorary co-chairs are designer Tom Ford and Instagram boss Adam Mosseri.

As usual, the fashion theme comes from the exhibition kicking off the gala: In America: An Anthology of Fashion, the second of star curator Andrew Bolton’s two-part show exploring the roots of American style.

This exhibition features some lesser known designers as well as some top film directors including Sofia Coppola, Martin Scorsese, presenter King and last year’s Oscar winner Chloé Zhao.

Bolton said eight directors will be creating so-called “cinematic vignettes” in the historic rooms of the museum’s American wing.
