The Packers announced the signing of 12 undrafted free agents on Monday. They contain an interesting name.

Edge rusher Brenton Cox Jr. was released from Georgia and Florida during his career. He competed in the Combine and Florida’s Pro Day and ran a 4.82 in the 40 with a 33-inch vertical, a 9-foot-7 long jump and 24 reps on the bench press.

Cox, a five-star recruit, played as a true freshman at Georgia before the Bulldogs fired him. He played three more seasons in Florida, with the Gators releasing him in the 2022 season.

In eight games last season, Cox totaled 35 tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks.

In 46 collegiate games, of which 34 were starts, Cox recorded 137 tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, a forced fumble and 10 pass breakups.

The Packers’ other signings were Appalachian State fullback Henry Pearson; Ole Miss recipient Malik Heath; Tulane recipient Duece Watts; Florida State tight end Camren McDonald; UAB offensive against Kadeem Telfort; Minnesota Guard Chuck Filiaga; Illinois State Defense Attorney Jason Lewan; Keshawn Banks, San Diego State linebacker; SMU linebacker Jimmy Phillips Jr.; North Iowa Security Benny Sapp; and Baylor Safety Christian Morgan.
