Canada has already trained more than 36,000 Ukrainian soldiers as of September 2015 and this mission has been extended to March 2025. The country announced in March that its mission to train Ukrainian engineers had been extended through October, making part of its decision to offer training in combat medicine.

In mid-April, eight Leopard 2 tanks promised by Ottawa Kiev arrived in Poland. These 55-ton machines are one of the key components of Canada’s arsenal and some of its most advanced equipment.
