Sporting Cristal is going through one of its most difficult moments in recent years. The Bier squad hasn’t won in six games, has been sidelined in the Apertura battle and isn’t scoring any points in the Copa Libertadores. Players, coaching staff and leaders have been identified as responsible for the bad moment by the country’s fans and sports press. Diego Rebagliatia commentator for Movistar Deportes, is one of the most critical.
The panelist used his participation in Movistar Deportes’ Después de todo program to make sharp comments about the breweries’ present. Rebagliati heavily criticized Innova Sports, the group that owns Sporting Cristal, which also represents Martín Távara, one of the most questioned players of the heavenly team.
The commentator regretted that Távara didn’t take advantage of his terms or the opportunities the club had given him. “There are players who have no means. They have been awarded one, two, three, four times. One of the problems is that this player is represented by the same company that owns the club. There the conflict of interest is too obvious. This player is Távara,” he assured.

Rebagliati explained that the midfielder’s attitude causes other members of the squad to exhibit similar behaviors. “It’s a situation that Sporting Cristal no longer benefits from, and not even the player, because in Cristal he’s already given everything he had to give. He’s a very young player and it’s a shame that he doesn’t understand that could have to be a professional 24/7. The openness towards Távara makes some other footballers say: ‘If you forgive him for that, I can do what I want too,'” he stressed.
